Girls Incorporated of the Island City has teamed up with the Alameda Recreation and Park Department (ARPD) to present the Mad Hatter Tea Party as this year’s theme for the 11th Annual Father and Daughter special event. The party will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at the Albert H. Dewitt’s Officers Club, 641 West Red Line Ave.
The event will include music by Strawberry Fields DJ, a Krazy Hat contest, dancing, arts and crafts projects, hors d’ oeuvres and a special memento for the girls. Girls are encouraged to wear sun or garden dresses and a crazy hat for the Krazy Hat Contest. Special wristlets are available by pre-order and make the evening extra special.
The cost is $25 per couple and $15 for each additional daughter. Register early; pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is today, Jan. 19, or until the event sells out. The event has sold out in the past.
